The Durga in my life is the mighty Mother Nature who inspires me every day.
She is the mother of one and all, the mother who holds the strength to bear all our wrong deeds yet protect us by providing shelter. She brings joy in the breeze and rain; yet holds the power to cause destruction to eliminate evil.
Durga is power, Durga is mother, Durga is Nature and its beauty!
In my artwork, I have tried to encapsulate the essence of Maa Durga as a tree. The branches are her Trishul and leaves are her locks of hair that are ferocious yet calming. The tiger resting on mother nature’s lap and the lotus depict the balance of beauty and harmony that nature provides.
